Heavy objects aren’t just an opportunity to demonstrate strength. They can also be utilized as a tool to develop it.

You may be putting in the hours, but if you seek to grow stronger, sticking only to light weights may not do anything more than eat up time and tire you out. Handling harder work will require either training a new technique, a shift in strategy, or progressive overload.

What seems immovable when you’re up against it may just require a pivot in positioning, an adjustment in angle, or a tweak in technique. Figuring out how to move it not only develops strength, but will also be acquired as wisdom.
