“What if it was a gift?”

That mess of a status report meeting that just kept mutating more and more. That drowning overwhelm at the end of the day. The surgery that now qualifies walking as too strenuous of an exercise.

What if all those were gifts?

What if that mutated meeting helped reveal just how poorly the DNA that has been directing your operational growth is now actually damaging those who trusted your leadership?

Or what if that drowning overwhelm has forced you to savor every bit of air you can gasp and finally forces you to reflect on where you ended up just because you felt the flow was sufficient?

With walking no longer an option, now you have no other choice but to sit, sit until you write.

Asking “what if it was a gift?” invites a new perspective, one that brings with it acceptance and persistence. In fact, asking “what if it was a gift?” might just be the best thing you give yourself in a long time.
